The best time to settle the details is before you accept the quote. A warm-white roofline, a colorful seasonal display and a permanent lighting system can look similar in a photo while having different products, ownership and service terms. Use this checklist to compare the actual work.
Decide which areas matter most
Start with the rooflines or display areas you want included, rather than a general request to light the whole house. Front-only, visible side elevations, entry details and landscaping can be separate choices. Photos taken from the ground help explain the design without anyone climbing for an estimate.
- Send the property address and preferred contact time.
- Mark the front, sides and any other requested areas.
- Choose a preferred look and mention any existing lights you want assessed.
Distinguish seasonal from permanent
Ask whether the proposal is for seasonal lighting, a permanent track system or a customer-supplied product installation. Confirm the exact product, who owns it and which components are included. Do not assume a photograph of permanent LEDs represents the bulbs or mounting method in a seasonal quote.
Ask about power and access early
Mention known outlet locations, access restrictions, steep or difficult areas and any property-manager requirements. The installer must review safe setup and the suitable installation method. Do not climb onto a roof, improvise power connections or buy extra equipment solely from an online estimate.
Read the seasonal service terms
Confirm installation timing, weather rescheduling, any maintenance service during the season, removal and storage. These are questions to resolve, not services automatically included in every package. Ask what happens if a component fails, what is excluded and who you contact. Product warranties and installation-service coverage may differ.
Compare the full written scope
Check the approved areas, selected products, optional additions, total price and payment schedule. A lower price may cover fewer elevations or different service terms. Ask for alternatives by reducing or changing the scope, rather than expecting the same work at an unexplained discount.
Know the next step after requesting a quote
Send Pure Blue the address, ground-level photos, desired look and timing. The team reviews the fit, access and route before confirming a written proposal and available date. A quote request does not reserve an installation slot or authorize a payment.
